Haus Health Rheumatology helps adults, children, and families facing unclear symptoms, abnormal autoimmune labs, complex diagnoses, or difficult treatment decisions.
We provide expert virtual rheumatology consultations that combine detailed record review, physician-led evaluation, written recommendations, and collaboration with local clinicians.
For some patients, this is a second opinion. For others, it is a first expert review to help determine whether rheumatology care is indicated.
Built for patients who need rheumatology clarity, not more uncertainty.

Why We Built Haus Health
After growing up in Venezuela and Florida, we moved to Boston for medical training and academic medicine. Along the way, we saw how difficult it can be for patients to access expert rheumatology care, especially for rare, complex, or unclear conditions often managed at major medical centers.
We participated in thousands of virtual second-opinion consultations across the country and saw what patients and families often needed most: time to be heard, careful review of the full medical picture, and guidance tailored to their individual story.
We built Haus Health to help patients and physicians step back, review the available information, and decide what it does — and does not — suggest.
What "Beyond a Second Opinion" means
A traditional second opinion often answers a single question: “Do I agree with the diagnosis or treatment plan?”
Haus Health is designed to go further.
We review the full medical picture: symptoms, records, labs, imaging reports, medications, prior opinions, photos, and patient concerns. During the virtual consultation, we focus on clinical reasoning, diagnostic uncertainty, treatment questions, and practical next steps.
After the visit, patients receive evidence-based written recommendations they can share with their local clinicians.
The goal is to help patients and clinicians understand what the available information suggests, what remains uncertain, and what next steps may be reasonable.
Complex rheumatology questions deserve a full-picture review. We provide expert guidance, diagnostic clarity, and written recommendations designed to support your local care team.

After nearly a decade in primary care, Dr. Cohen-Hausmann recognized how profoundly lifestyle factors—nutrition, movement, stress, and sleep—shape long-term health. To deepen her expertise, she became certified in Lifestyle Medicine through the ACLM and trained in evidence-based behavior change with mindfulness expert Dr. Jud Brewer.
Today, she helps patients build sustainable habits for wellness, longevity, and resilience, combining clinical insight with practical strategies for everyday life.
Dr. Cohen-Hausmann has also provided over a thousand virtual “curbside consults” for primary care physicians, bringing accessible, evidence-based guidance to complex patient cases.
Outside of medicine, she is an avid U.S. Masters swimmer who trains daily—a reflection of her belief that consistent, balanced habits form the foundation of lifelong health.
We support your local care team
Haus Health does not replace the need for local medical care. Our role is consultative. We provide expert rheumatology input, diagnostic impressions, treatment considerations, and recommended next steps that patients can discuss with their existing clinicians.
When appropriate and with permission, our recommendations can be shared with the patient’s physician.
