Physician-to-Physician Rheumatology Chart Review
Nationwide expert rheumatology input for your local physician.
If you or your child has a complex autoimmune, inflammatory, or unclear rheumatic condition, your local clinician may benefit from specialist input without waiting months for another appointment.
This physician-to-physician consultation gives your treating doctor access to written, evidence-based rheumatology recommendations from Jonathan S. Hausmann, MD, a Harvard-trained rheumatologist board-certified in adult and pediatric rheumatology.
This service is available nationwide because Haus Health does not directly treat the patient through this consult. Instead, Dr. Hausmann reviews the medical records and clinical questions, then provides recommendations to the treating clinician.
For most patients, Haus Health can securely retrieve medical records electronically. Patients and treating physicians may also provide any additional materials they want reviewed, including outside notes, lab results, imaging reports, photographs, videos, medication lists, and prior opinions.
This may be helpful when there are questions about:
• Positive ANA or other autoimmune labs
• Inflammatory arthritis, lupus, Sjogren's disease, vasculitis, recurrent fevers, or autoinflammatory disease
• Unclear diagnosis or conflicting opinions
• Next steps in testing or specialist evaluation
• Medication options, biologics, steroids, methotrexate, or treatment safety
• Persistent symptoms despite prior evaluation or treatment
What is included:
• Detailed medical record review
• Review of the clinician’s specific questions
• Diagnostic impressions based on the available information
• Suggestions for additional workup when appropriate
• Treatment considerations for the local clinician to evaluate
• Written recommendations sent to the treating physician, typically within five business days after records and questions are received
• Communication with the treating clinician when appropriate
Important: this is not a direct patient consultation. It does not include a patient interview, virtual physical exam, prescribing, ordering tests, or ongoing management by Haus Health.
Your local physician remains responsible for your care. Haus Health provides specialist rheumatology guidance to support that physician’s decision-making.
Available nationwide for physician-to-physician consultation.
Fee: $499.
