Before you book

Your comprehensive consultation with Jonathan S. Hausmann, MD, includes medical record review, a virtual visit, written recommendations, and collaboration with your local physicians. The fee is $999. HSA/FSA payments are accepted; insurance is not billed.

Virtual patient consultations are available for adults and children in Massachusetts, Florida, and Colorado. Consultations are offered in English and Spanish. If you are outside these states, a nationwide physician-to-physician chart review can provide recommendations to your treating clinician without a patient visit.

Within five business days after completing your intake, you will complete your consultation and receive your written report. Your report explains the assessment, recommendations, and next steps. Haus Health is not an emergency or same-day service.
Preparing for your visit

No. You can book directly for a first expert assessment or a second opinion. Dr. Hausmann evaluates adults and children with unexplained symptoms, abnormal autoimmune tests, known or suspected inflammatory disease, or treatment questions. During the video visit, he discusses your concerns and may guide a focused virtual examination.

Usually, you do not need to gather everything yourself. With your permission, we can electronically retrieve records for most patients. You or your physician can also securely provide additional records, lab results, imaging reports, photographs, or videos for Dr. Hausmann to review.
Care, payment & privacy

Haus Health is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance. HSA/FSA payments are accepted. We can provide an itemized invoice for you to submit to your insurer; any out-of-network reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed.

You receive an email with a secure intake link. Complete your intake and provide access to your records so we can prepare for your visit. Haus Health coordinates the next steps with you. Your consultation and written report are completed within five business days after your intake.

Dr. Hausmann may order tests when needed to clarify your diagnosis or guide next steps. If he agrees to provide ongoing rheumatology care, he may also prescribe and manage medications. Testing, prescriptions, and ongoing care are individualized decisions, not guaranteed parts of every consultation.

Use the secure intake and upload links provided by Haus Health. You may also fax records to 888-531-3853. Please do not send medical records by ordinary email. Medical information is handled through secure systems designed for healthcare use.

In some cases, yes. Dr. Hausmann can serve as your primary rheumatologist when ongoing virtual care is appropriate and you are eligible for care. He will discuss this with you. Established patients can book a follow-up consultation to review symptoms, results, and the treatment plan. Ongoing care is not automatically included in the initial consultation.

A physician-to-physician consultation is a review of your records that provides recommendations to your treating clinician. It is available nationwide and does not include a patient visit. Your local clinician remains responsible for your care, including any testing or prescriptions. This is a separate service from the $999 comprehensive patient consultation.
